Hello crafty friends,
Welcome to another Countdown to Christmas edition of SCS.
I have a few tags to share with you today using some Tim Holtz Distress inks and some Mini Layering Stencils.

I like to add a little something homemade to gift bags and presents and a tags are usually quick to make especially when there’s only one layer. The tags below are decorated with ink, stencils and word stickers.Sunday card share Tim Hotlz mini layering stencils and distress ink

Simple layering of ink and stencils (or stamps) help make these tags quick to complete. The stencils did most of the work for me so all I had to do is come up with some designs.

Shabby Shutters & Peeled Paint were used for the trees on the tag above and gold ‘snow’ was added to the tag below with a splatter type stamp.

Kraft coloured paper and tags are a favourite of mine, white ink looks fabulous on it and when combined with red you have a classic holiday colour scheme. Can’t go wrong with that. 😀

Hi All! Joy here today with anther card share.
I’m really enjoying working with the Distress Crayons right now and this card was fun to make.
My brother’s birthday is today and I made this card with him in mind ( Happy Birthday Kyle!! ).

I simply coloured the Distress Crayons on to watercolour paper and used a baby wipe to blend out the colours. I started at the bottom and swiped across the colours horizontally.  I then used an alphabet layering stencil and a baby wipe to remove some of the colour.

I wanted to add one more layer to kind of lighten things up. I grabbed a chevron style stencil and some white acrylic paint. I really like how bright & fun this card is.

I die cut some white cardstock with the Kaisercraft bricks die, used watered down acrylic paint for some splatters and black pen to draw some circle shapes on the card base.
I’d love to see what your’e making with Distress Crayons, share your creations with us on our Facebook Friends page.

Thank you for visiting the SN blog, I hope you found some inspiration.
